Family Traditions passed on…

December 6, 2009

This Saturday my husband and I joined his family at his Aunt and Uncles’ to celebrate Thanksgiving! (Slightly late!, but better than never!) Chad has been wanting to learn some of his Granny’s secret recipes that have only been passed down to his aunt. Chad cooked and I took pictures! It was a wonderful day spent with fabulous people!

Family Portraits

December 6, 2009

Today I went over to my managers’ house and shot a few family portraits for her and her adorable kids and grand-babies! It was freezing cold outside and not one of them had on a jacket, so I was slightly limited in how many pictures and poses I could do. I didn’t want them to suffer any longer than necessary! I believe they came out pretty decent for a 3.5 min. photo session!! What do you think?

So as I was sitting up at work doing some editing, I met this amazingly sweet couple! Homeschool mother of 8 Dawn Camp is a pretty creative photographer! I won’t hold it against her that she shoots Nikon, her images speak for themselves! Check out her flickr and her website @ My Home Sweet Home Online Thank you Mrs. Camp for your helpful hints I enjoyed meeting you and hope to possibly get to know you and your work a little better! :)

Photo night with the Culinary Arts Dept.

November 30, 2009

Debra Hodges, Ian Smith and myself volunteered to shoot an event in Atlanta, for Chef Kari, head of the Culinary Arts Dept. at GTC. The night was a ton of fun, we got to eat lots of great food, take home some fun gifts, and meet some wonderful people! check out everyone’s blog to see more images of the event! I will be posting all of my images from the night to my flicker once I have them edited!

Color Correct??

November 30, 2009

Today I am holed up in the lab printing… It is so hard to get colors correct, and it takes SO much time, but I need all the practice I can get!! This is the image I chose for my “low Key” assignment. Harkins will not like it I already know because of the hands being so large in the frame. But I just loved the way her eyes looked… so we’ll see tomorrow if I got the colors right!

Love is in the air!

Chad and I spent the afternoon with an adorably refreshing couple Miss Katie and Sir. Thomas! We had a ton of fun shooting engagement pics with them! Here’s a little prelude of what’s to come…
